Spring is in the air! Winter has been colder than usual and I am more than happy to embrace the words of the poet, “If winter comes, can spring be far behind?” The sun is shining, trees are budding out and the daffodils are blooming here on the Island.
The highlight of Spring for BCAHA members is our Annual General Meeting and Conference. This year we will be meeting at the Coast Inn of the North in Prince George from April 14 – 17. Conference Chair Diane Thornton, the Host Committee from the Auxiliary to University Hospital of Northern BC, and the BCAHA Board have planned a great educational and fun time for everyone.
This year marks the 100th Anniversary of the Prince George Auxiliary and I look forward to celebrating with them at the Roaring Twenties Meet and Greet on Sunday evening. I am sure that it will be a lot of fun and a great kick-off to the Conference.
This April is the beginning of our 75th year as a Provincial Organization and much has been accomplished by our Auxiliaries during that time. 2020/2021 will be a big milestone for all of us. We are planning a very special celebration to honor our volunteers who have made “Helping Healthcare the Auxiliary Way” a part of their life!
I hope to see you at our April AGM & Conference. There is still time to register before the March 31st deadline, so fill out your registration and email it to Anne Marie Smith at ac.wahs@eiramenna.htims today!
