Did you notice this sign in our store? Does it look familiar?
This sign is the original sign that was on the Port Hardy Medical Clinic building. The clinic was purchased with funds raised by the Port Hardy Hospital Auxiliary! This building is now gone, it served our community well and gave the doctors a place to work and see patients! Many memories are attached to this sign!!

Did you know……in the 1960’s, there was very little housing available in Port Hardy. To insure a doctor had a proper place to live, the Hospital Auxiliary took up a lease on one of the very first homes in the M&B subdivision. They even provided furniture for the home so the doctors serving the community would have good lodging during their stay.
