The ever popular photo contest was one of the highlights of BCAHA’s April AGM & Conference. The contest’s theme—to celebrate the spirit and success of Auxiliary volunteering—generated an enthusiastic response and a wall full of photos. Though each entry shared its own special story, four People’s Choice and four Juried Selections were announced:
The People’s Choice Winner
Revelstoke Hospital Auxiliary Society
“I wanted to write this note to say Thank You for the Duet Wheelchair Bicycle that your funds made possible to purchase for the “Cottages.” This past week, following training, I was able to take my husband out for a ride. It was a pretty special experience for us and, I think, for the staff members who watched us come and go. Lincoln’s smile was huge—as the photo shows—and my heart almost burst to see how happy this made him. I am hugely grateful. On behalf of all the residents, Thanks!”
