On May 3rd, 1968 at 12:15PM the Mission Hospital officially opened their “latest business venture” to raise funds – a thrift shop named “The Cottage” which was located beside Tremblay Cleaners on the south side of First Avenue directly across from the offices of the Fraser Valley Record newspaper.” – Mission Community Archives
Today, Mission Health Care Auxiliary -The Cottage Thrift Store offers a wonderful array of treasures at very reasonable prices. It is operated and staffed by Auxiliary members and is located at 33228 1st Avenue in Mission.
