Trauma Bears
When infants and young children arrive to the hospitals emergency department they are often scared and in pain, a cuddle buddy can become magic.
Children not only love them, but parents also very much appreciate the distraction provided by the bears.
Those cute little smiles make it all worth while, a couple of older patients, when presented with a bear stated “I never ever had a teddy bear” become emotional at the fact that there is someone who cares.
We have been lucky to find two companies who continue to donate the bears for this program.
